Moenike took a group of at-risk kids in Red 12 and made them a confident dance team. That summer, Moenike and the team went to Quito, Ecuador, and mobilized 90 local dancers for a flash mob in Downtown Quito. That same night, they performed before 5,000 people at the Brilla Youth Conference. After that, they crashed in Moenike’s room till 2:00 am, with Moenike leading a discussion, building character and team unity. Teachers like Moenike are a rare breed. She could be on Broadway with her talent but chooses to pour it out on kids instead. Whoever she touches is changed for life.
